June 21 2021 Summer in Japan

I won't lie and say I am excited for Summer in Japan because I am definitely NOT. Coming from a very humid and tropical country, Summer in Japan is actually far more severe than it is in my country, Indonesia. In some tropical countries, Summer comes with a wet season (where the precipitations reaches 60mm) . You can view this scientific fact here

Whilst I am in Japan, the events here are much more different than those of my origin country. In Japan, seasons of summer are the days where you fall in love! And go to the Summer Matsuri whilst confessing your love underneath the loud fireworks and not be heard by your date ! As you often seen in anime episodes.

Whilst the list consist of things such as climbing mount Fuji in the blazing heat. I, for once, cannot fathom being on top of  a hill completely removed from any coverage that trees could give me. IF ANYTHING I would rather be at home with my windows open and an electric fan.  But when Summer Matsuri rolls around, I do feel very excited to be among the crowds of people and try my luck in one of those games that street stalls or in Japanese "Yatai" offer. Nevertheless if Summer Matsuri does not peak your interest here is a complete list of things you can do in Japan's hottest season.

  1. Very very nice! Thank you so much! I once climbed Mt. Fuji but it is only open for a few weeks because even in July it snows on the top.
